Flower Marketplace
We have developed a modern flower delivery marketplace with reviews and rating, filters, convenient delivery, separate payment and adaptive mobile version.
The customer is a young entrepreneur from Australia who really enjoys giving flowers to his girlfriend. He found that he could order convenient and fast delivery of anything, but not flowers. And, of course, he decided to fix it, and we helped him.
Flower delivery can be made convenient
Flower stores are often very small and local. And we would like to make the service global, preferably for the whole world. Something like Uber, but for flowers. Such a service would be a marketplace that unites various sellers, taking into account their delivery characteristics.

How to get flowers today
The floral industry has its own well-established delivery rules:
- You order before lunch and get same-day delivery;
- You order after lunch and get delivery the next day.
To account for this peculiarity, we made a customization for each store’s “lunch” time and called it “Same day delivery time”. In the catalog of flowers you can see when delivery is possible taking into account the current time: today or tomorrow.
Split payments for marketplace
Another interesting feature of our development was the use of Stripe Connect split payments. This is a payment method where the payment system itself divides the payment into the marketplace commission and the main part of the payment for the partner seller. The seller gets his own account in the Stripe payment system and sees all payment transactions directly.
Filters and collections
We have added a powerful system of filters based on various parameters of bouquets. And the customer himself can change these parameters without programmers’ involvement. Moreover, you can save the filtered products in “collections”, give them a name with a photo and display them on the main page. For example, “bouquets for wedding under $100”.
Remembering the gift recipients
The recipient of the flowers is most often different from the buyer, and this person is most often chosen for a second gift. He can also become a giver himself. In general, we decided to save the anonymized data of this lucky person in the project database for reuse.
